Donald J. Quintin

Chief Executive Officer and Global President

Donald J. Quintin is Chief Executive Officer and Global President of Lone Star, where he leads the firm’s global strategy and overall management. Since joining Lone Star in 2010, Mr. Quintin has held senior leadership roles, including Global President of the Opportunity Funds and, earlier, President of Europe, where he directed origination and strategic initiatives across the region. His three-decade career spans global financial markets, with deep expertise in private equity, corporate debt and real estate investing.

Prior to joining Lone Star, Mr. Quintin was a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch, where he led distressed structured debt and mortgage sales and trading businesses as well as overseeing large legacy portfolios, including the ML Bank investment portfolio. He began his career at Salomon Brothers as a bond trader and senior manager within the mortgage and corporate trading divisions.

Mr. Quintin holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University, completed the Senior Executive Fellows program at the Harvard Kennedy School and holds a master’s-level postgraduate diploma from the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School.
