Senior management of Lone Star, together with key employees of Hudson, have developed long-standing working relationships, disciplined procedures and substantial asset management expertise in the course of advising the Funds in connection with the acquisition and management of approximately 860,000 assets worldwide (including those managed by specialty management firms that are owned by a Fund or Funds) at an aggregate purchase price of over $130 billion since 1995.

John Grayken

Chairman Lone Star Funds

John Grayken

Mr. Grayken is the founder and Chairman of Lone Star. Since the establishment of its first fund in 1995, Lone Star has organized fourteen private equity funds with aggregate capital commitments totaling over $54 billion. Mr. Grayken has served as a key participant in investor relations, sourcing, negotiating, and structuring investments and has been the primary individual responsible for formulating investment strategy for the Funds. In addition, Mr. Grayken is the owner of Hudson, a full-service asset management company with approximately 850 employees worldwide that provides due diligence and analysis, asset management and other support services to Lone Star. Hudson, an SEC-registered investment adviser, has advised the Funds with respect to approximately 860,000 assets with an aggregate purchase price of over $130 billion. Mr. Grayken holds a B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School.

André Collin

President Lone Star Funds

André Collin

Mr. Collin is the President of Lone Star, responsible for global operations. He has over 25 years of experience in real estate, both debt and equity, mostly direct investments worldwide. Mr. Collin previously served as President, Americas, and in such capacity was responsible for directing origination activities in the Americas for certain of the Funds.

Prior to joining Lone Star in 2007, Mr. Collin served for three years as First Vice President, Real Estate Investments, at PSP Investments, a Canadian Crown Corporation, where he was responsible for 10% of the total fund and managed more than $4 billion of equity invested (gross assets in excess of $8 billion) in commercial real estate assets (debt and equity) in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Before joining PSP in 2004, Mr. Collin was with the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec where he most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Cadim, Inc. – Real Estate from 1997 to 2004 and was responsible for over $20 billion in commercial real estate assets under management in debt and equity products on public and private markets around the world. He was also responsible for overseeing Caisse de dépôt –Real Estate Group’s international development and management. Mr. Collin is a CPA and holds a B.B.A. degree from Montreal’s École des Hautes Études Commerciales and an M.B.A. degree from McGill University.

Sam Loughlin

President, Lone Star Funds Americas

Sam Loughlin

Mr. Loughlin is the President responsible for directing origination activities in the Americas. He has over 14 years of experience in real estate and corporate and consumer investing, financing and asset management. Mr. Loughlin previously served as Senior Managing Director responsible for identifying and sourcing corporate, consumer and residential investment opportunities. From 2008 to 2012, Mr. Loughlin was Managing Director of Hudson Advisors LLC where he directed the management of corporate and real estate assets in North America.

Prior to Hudson, Mr. Loughlin was a Partner of a Houston based investment fund and was responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring investment and financing strategies for the investment portfolio, which included real estate, operating companies and public and private security instruments. Prior to that he was an attorney at the law firm of Vinson & Elkins LLP, where he was a member of the Business and Corporate Securities group, with experience in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Loughlin is a summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate with a B.A. from Baylor University and earned his J.D. with Honors from the University of Texas School of Law.

Olivier Brahin

President, Lone Star Funds Europe

Olivier Brahin

Mr. Brahin is the President responsible for directing origination activities in Europe. He has over 20 years of experience in investing, financing and asset management. Mr. Brahin previously served as President of a Hudson subsidiary in Europe, and in such capacity directed the due diligence and analysis, financing and asset management of all of the Funds’ investments in Europe.

Prior to joining Hudson, Mr. Brahin worked for the real estate structured finance departments of KBC Bank and UIC Sofal, and also served as a director at JER France where he was responsible for underwriting. Mr. Brahin began his career in 1989 as a developer and holds a Master’s degree in Finance and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University Paris – Dauphine IX.

Mark Newman

President, Lone Star Funds Asia

Mark Newman

Mr. Newman is the President responsible for directing origination activities in Asia. He has over 20 years of experience as a principal real estate investor and lender across a range of real estate businesses and assets spanning North America, Europe and Asia.

Prior to joining Lone Star, Mr. Newman was the Founder and Managing Partner of Broadcliff Capital Partners, a real estate private debt and equity investor based in London. Broadcliff served as the international investment advisor to the Lehman legacy real estate private equity funds (known as Silverpeak). Prior to founding Broadcliff, Mr. Newman was Global Co-Head and Chief Investment Officer of the Lehman Brothers’ real estate private equity business where he was instrumental in establishing the European and Asian real estate private equity investment operations. Mr. Newman also previously served as a Managing Director with Fortress Investment Group LLP in Europe. Mr. Newman holds a B.A. degree from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Dalhousie University.
